Ways to begin an International House of Pancake restaurant

We all prefer going out for eating.  We all have our most favorite restaurants that truly match our taste. The affordable price range and the special offers make the dining even more special.

Everyone has their own favorite restaurant. You can choose any of the restaurants that offer special breakfasts or lunches. Some restaurants are specially meant for dining purposes. Lunch is served in some of the restaurants. Some of the eateries are operating since a long time. Others have just started the operation.

One of the more famous restaurants is IHOP.  Established in 1958, the first store of IHOP was opened in Toluca Lake, California. The parent company of IHOP, DineEquity Inc has outlets in 49 states, Mexico and Canada. It is a popular family restaurant. It serves breakfast, lunch and also dinner.

How to start an IHOP franchise?

You need to have at least 1.5 million which is close to $500,000 to start a franchise. Basic business experience is needed to get the approval.  The company is not going to help you in financing the franchise. You can consult a bank if you donÕt have enough money.

Once you are approved, you will be brought to the main office for training while the store is still in construction. The outlet is constructed following strict guidelines and other requirements. You must have room for 185 people.  The area population should be between 25,000 to 50,000. If the store is a part of grocery establishment then the size should be 10,000 to 20,000 square feet. This allows for enough parking space for your customers.

If you have restaurant experience then owning an IHOP franchise is a wonderful idea. If you can meet these requirement, you will receive the necessary training, and out just might be the latest IHOP to open in your area. Though the chain will help you with the food and training. You will have to hire the employees on your own. It helps that the chain provides employment application templates, but you will have to interview them.
